Who are Make Hay Ethical E-media?
Make Hay is a web design team headed by Jez Swinscoe and Vicky Stevens. We set up Make Hay because we wanted to support businesses and organisations who are doing really positive things. We employ environmentally friendly practices and have an ethical policy which guides our day to day work. We also provide green website hosting which is run on 100% wind power. Why should I use Make Mail rather than my regular e-mail client?
Make Mail templates are designed to work in a variety of different e-mail environments so that your message and branding remain clear regardless of the e-mail client used to view them.
Our servers have been 'whitelisted' so our emails are much more likely to be delivered because of our strict anti-spam policy. E-mails sent via your email client, even those sent by your website can often be treated as spam - or even worse, your server becomes listed as a "spamming server" and your email deliverability becomes an even bigger problem.
Using Make Mail for your e-mail campaigns will avoid all of these common problems.
How long does it take to get an account set up?
Once you submit our sign-up form, we will be in touch to complete the process. Generally, you'll be up and running within a couple of business days.
Why does someone have to contact me before I use Make Mail?
We need to make sure that our clients are serious about agreeing to our ant-spam policy and ethical policy. To get the best design for your e-mail newsletter we’ll need to discuss your requirements. Plus we like to get to know you!
Do you provide support?
Once logged in to your account you can find lots of helpful resources which are built into the system. You can also e-mail us at support@makemail.co.uk.
Do I have to download or buy any software?
No, the whole Make Mail system is managed online. This also means you can use it from any computer which has an internet connection.
Can my newsletter look like my website?
Yes, of course. We can work with you to design a newsletter which fits with the rest of your online visual branding.
How does Make Mail integrate with my website?
Using code provided by us a newsletter sign-up form and newsletter archive can be added to your site. If you’re not sure about how to do this we can provide support.
Will the system use up my website hosting space and bandwidth?
No, the whole system is hosted externally to your website which means that it won’t increase the hosting space or bandwidth used for your current website.
